Common Denture Problems We Can Help With in Cambridge
Natural teeth can be lost for many reasons, including tooth decay, gum disease, or trauma.
For patients who are edentulous (have no natural teeth), the aim of denture treatment is to restore everyday function and confidence improving speech, appearance, chewing and biting, as well as comfort. Well-fitted dentures also allow you to laugh, speak, eat, and smile naturally, without worrying about movement or dislodgement.
We offer a full range of denture solutions, from simple temporary dentures made in a single day to implant-retained dentures for added stability and comfort.
We offer a Same Day Denture Repair Service.
Although there will be occasions when this is not possible, 94% of those patients who need the repair can have it back the same day.
Time Scales for Denture Repairs
For straight forward Repairs and Additions: Between 1 and 2 hours. This enables our patients to avoid taking time off work and minimises social embarrassment.

We believe patients should always have a clear understanding of dental costs before starting treatment.
Feeling confident and informed helps you make the right decisions about your dental care.
All patients receive a written, itemised treatment plan, clearly outlining costs before any treatment begins.
Prices may vary depending on individual needs, but you will only ever pay the exact amount shown on your treatment plan no surprises.
We are proud to offer competitive dental fees all year round, with monthly payment plans and 0% interest finance available (terms and conditions apply), helping to make treatment more affordable.
Dentures can be made to closely resemble your natural teeth so that little change in appearance will be noticeable.
Modern dentures may even improve the look of your smile and help fill out the appearance of your face.
Eating will take a little practice.
Start with soft foods cut into small pieces.
Chew slowly using both sides of your mouth at the same time to prevent the denture from moving.
As you become more used to your denture, add other foods until you return to your normal healthy diet.
During the first few days, you may be advised to wear them for most of the time, including while you are asleep.
After an initial period of adjustment, your dentist may advise that you remove them before going to bed.
This allows your gums to rest and helps promote oral health.
Even with full dentures, you still need to take good care of your mouth. Every morning and evening, brush your gums, tongue and palate (roof of your mouth) with a soft-bristled brush.
This removes plaque and stimulates circulation in the mouth. It is vitally important that partial denture wearers brush their teeth thoroughly every day to prevent tooth decay and gum disease that can lead to further teeth being lost. (for partial dentures)
